Hill Stations Ponmudi
Ponmudi is located 61 kms from Thiruvananthapuram City. A peaceful resort tucked away in the dense environs, Ponmudi is located 915 m above seal level. Rich in flora and fauna, the hill station also has excellent trekking trails.

Munnar
Situated 55 km from Idukki town, at the confluence of three mountain streams-Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala, Munnar is a charming hill resort, 1600 m above sea level. Vast expanses of tea plantations and holiday facilities make this a popular hill station. The hillsides of Munnar are famous for Neelakurinji, an exotic flower which blooms once every twelve years. It is next expected to bloom in 2006 AD. Munnar also has the highest peak in South India, Anamudi, over 2695 metres in height.. Anamudi is an ideal spot for trekking.

Mattupetty
Mattupetty is located 13 kms from Munnar, at a height of 1700 m. Mattupetty is famous for its highly specialized dairy farm - the Indo Swiss Livestock Project. Over a 100 varieties of high yielding cattle are reared here. There is also a lake and a dam in Mattupety. The Kundala tea plantations and the Kundala lake are other attractions in the vicinity.

Marayoor
Marayoor, 40 km from Munnar, is the only place in Kerala that has a natural growth of sandwood trees. The sandalwood factory of the Forest Department, the caves (muniyaras) with murals and relics from the New Stone Age and the Children's park spread across a hectar of land under the canopy of a single Banyan tree are the greatest attractions of Marayoor.

Devikulam
Devikulam is an idyllic hill station 15 kms from Munnar. Exotic flora and fauna and the magical vistas offer visitors an exhilarating experience. The Sita Devi Lake with its mineral water springs and picturesque surroundings is a good picnic spot. The Lake is also ideal for trout fishing.

Wagamon
Wagamon, 65 km from Idukki town, is an idyllic hill resort with vast stretches of green meadows and tea estates.

Nelliyampathy
This fascinating hill station is at a height of 467 to 1572 m above sea level. The Sahya Ranges laden with dense forests, the panoramic view of Palakkad District from Seethathodu etc are unforgettable experiences this resort offers.

Attappady
A collage of mountains, rivers and forests, Attappady is of great interest to anthropologists. Attappady is the habitat of many tribals like the Irulars and Mudugas. The Malleeswaram peak is worshipped as a gigantic Siva linga by the Adivasis.
